lighting issue phone system
the room was dark i found insufficient lighting a real problem the phone system in the room didn't work i had to go downstairs to ask questions reception knew about the lighting issue but said management considers darkness part of the ambiance parking was another hassle valet service was expensive and the hotel didn't have a deal with a nearby parking lot

adequate, but disappointing
dark bathroom loud wardrobe
the location was good for accessing harbor restaurants.
I was disappointed with several aspects of my stay. The 5th floor room allowed me to hear furniture moving above into the early hours. bathrooms were dark, the shower lacked adequate lighting. furthermore, the metal wardrobe doors made A LOUD noise.

a satisfactory visit
good location easy walk nice vibe poor signage poor lighting odd places
the location is quite good. it is an easy walk to both the viaduct and wynyard quarter. the rooftop bar has a nice vibe.
i found some signage to be poor. it was hard to see the hotel. the lighting in the bedroom was very poor. light switches were in odd places, i thought.

i found the staff very polite. the location was good for accessing different parts of the area. the comfortable room.
I found the light switches confusing. Some were even held together with blu tack! this was an unexpected diy touch.
